Gloucestershire & The Cotswolds

Those first Few weeks with your baby are like no other. They are beautiful and overwhelming at the same time. The days feel long, yet somehow they pass in a heartbeat.

As a newborn photographer based in Cheltenham, and welcoming families from across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, I create calm, naturally posed portraits that feel simple, elegant and truly timeless. My approach is baby led and completely unhurried, just you and your baby, gently and beautifully photographed, exactly as you are.

With over six years of professional experience and having photographed hundreds of babies, your little one’s safety is always my highest priority. Every session is carried out with the greatest care, knowledge and attention. You can relax knowing your baby is in safe and experienced hands.

The newborn sessions take place either in my cosy studio here in Cheltenham or in the comfort of your own home. There is always plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles. Nothing is rushed. We move at your baby’s pace, creating a peaceful space where you can simply be present and soak it all in.

These early days slip by so quickly. A thoughtfully created portrait preserves the tiny fingers, the soft eyelashes, the way they fit so perfectly in your arms. It captures the quiet closeness and the very beginning of your family’s story, so you can hold onto this chapter long after it has passed.

CAPTURING YOUR GROWING FAMILY

Your newborn photoshoot is about so much more than just your baby. It’s about capturing the love, connection, and emotions that fill this season of your life. That’s why all of my newborn packages include family photos, because this moment belongs to everyone. From brand-new parents soaking in those first overwhelming feelings, to proud older siblings learning their new role, these images tell the story of your growing family and the love that surrounds your newest arrival.

Oh how absolutely amazing it is to be one of the first people to welcome your tiny baby into this world. I am extremely grateful for all parents who put their trust in me and let me hold and pose their precious babies to capture those oh-so-special moments.

Newborn Photographer Cheltenham FAQs

How long is a newborn photoshoot?

Typically sessions for a newborn baby will last about 3-4 hours. Depending on how responsive to touch your baby is. Some babies settle quicker than others so the newborn photoshoot is pretty much baby led. It's important for me not to rush things so both the baby and you feel relaxed. Only then I am able to capture the amazing bond between you and your newborn baby that you'll treasure forever.

What do newborn sessions involve?

After you book your session, we discuss the details like: the theme, colour schemes and styling of the photoshoot via email. Your newborn session will be booked for your due date and when your baby arrives, we have around two weeks to schedule your photoshoot. My aim is to give you beautiful images that will seamlessly fit into your home. We can also discuss if there are any particular poses you like, and any heirlooms you want to use or props that I can provide. Also, I need to understand what family members would like to be posed and then I can work out the shooting schedule to accommodate the different shots you're looking to have taken.

How should I choose a baby photographer?

What is essential is that you feel at ease with the baby photographer that you choose. Make sure that you look at the style of newborn photos that they have taken and see how they fit in with what you have in mind. Make a point of speaking to them prior to making a booking to ensure that they are friendly and hospitable. If you're not sure, ask for a face-to-face meeting to ensure that they are the sort of photographer who is warm and you feel relates to newborns and will make them feel relaxed.
